Sentences you translate go to our server and Google’s Gemini. Your vocabulary bank stays in this browser.
97 languages, every one with the full word-by-word breakdown.
One place to understand, use and remember a language
The same explanations continue when you write, read documents, follow a course, or speak with a tutor.
Write it

Read anything
Upload a PDF or image, keep each paragraph beside its translation, then open any word or passage when you need a deeper explanation.
Learn from where you are
A placement test finds your level, a reading foundation covers the script where you need one, and the course builds listening, speaking and writing from there.
Every sentence you write is checked, corrections stay in the conversation, and a separate model challenges each grammar rule with a counter-example before it reaches you.
Ask in your own words, see examples and pitfalls, then branch into prerequisites, contrasts, usage and deeper rules.

How it works
The natural sentence appears first, so you can read it while the analysis finishes.
See every word and particle colored by grammatical role, plus why it is there, what it means, and what you could say instead.
Star anything into the vocabulary bank and review it on an SM-2 schedule that keeps working offline.
Four passes (sentence, grammar, per-word detail, phrases) count as one translation, because you performed one action. Text longer than 500 characters counts as one translation per 500 characters.
Controls
Politeness and emphasis are inputs to the model, not a filter over the result. Move one, press Translate, and the sentence is written again at that target.
The first translation detects the level automatically. After that you pick it yourself, across four levels from blunt to honorific. Depending on the language, that changes a pronoun, an ending, or the word itself.
Casual手伝ってくれる?
Honorificお手伝いいただけますでしょうか。
Keigo — humble いただく wrapped in でしょうか. For customers, superiors, strangers.
Choose what to emphasize in the sentence, or click a single word to target it. If the language uses a particle, you will see it. Otherwise, the word order carries the same emphasis.
明日は図書館に行くよ
Telling you something you did not know.
Where a language has no particle to attach it to, the same flavour is carried by word choice and word order instead.
Star a word or a mined phrase and it drops into a bank that works offline in the browser. Reviews run on SM-2 in your own timezone, and sync when you sign in.
